Sounds Suffer One-Run Loss at Oklahoma City
|
In a tight game between the Oklahoma City Dodgers and the Nashville Sounds, pitcher Billy Bell was terrific on the mound. The Oklahoma City right-hander helped his team to the 1-0 win. The save was credited to Alex Durham, his 9th. The Dodgers bumped their record to 52-34 with this latest triumph.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bob Seppings. For the game, Seppings went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Oklahoma City a 1-0 lead.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Bell.
