People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox did just enough to secure a victory over the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2, in 11 innings at Security Service Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Randy Smith. Cedric Young picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Robbie Jones suffered the loss.

The Sky Sox got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Juan Castillo. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Sky Sox.

"This house was rockin'," Castillo said.

Colorado Springs is now 40-48, Tacoma 36-52.
