Lemley, Syracuse Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
NBT Bank Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.
The Syracuse Chiefs claimed a close win over the Scranton WB RailRiders, due in large part to Hugh Lemley. The Syracuse right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. The Chiefs raised their record to 7-4.
Lemley was in the zone all game. He frustrated Scranton WB hitters while giving the Chiefs 7 innings of quality work. Lemley threw 110 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lemley.
