Buffalo registered a win at Coca-Cola Field by beating the Pawtucket Red Sox, 5-2. Pitcher Ernie Ramírez was one reason why the Bisons triumphed. Pawtucket, with the loss, is 3-8.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Ramírez was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Pawtucket trailing 2-0, Ramírez retired Phil Hopkins, who grounded out.
