Arrows Win at Home, 2-0
|
Starting pitcher Erick Fedde gave the Indianapolis Arrows a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Columbus Clippers, 2-0, at Victory Field. Dan Conner picked up the save, his 1st. The loss drops Columbus to 4-7.
Ernesto García had a big run-scoring double for the Arrows in the bottom of the second inning. With Indianapolis leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Jim Acosta, who is rated as the 32nd best prospect by BNN, and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Arrows ahead, 2-0.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Fedde.
