The Nashville Sounds scored a tight, 1-0 win versus the El Paso Chihuahuas at Herschel Greer Stadium. Nashville pitcher Chris Clark held his own in the contest. Nashville reliever Tony Miles got the win, raising his record to 4-4. Steven O. Fuentes was tagged with the loss. Nashville, at 65-43, is 12 games up in the American Conference North Division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jomar Reyes in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Kaminska to win the game for Nashville. The home crowd went nuts.

In postgame remarks, Reyes applauded his team's "toughness."
