Late Rally by IronPigs Secures 5-4 Win
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs earned a win at BB&T Stadium, knocking off the Charlotte Knights, 5-4. On the bump for Lehigh Valley was right-hander Luis Gil. He had a starring role in the triumph. Ron Brooks earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Early on, the IronPigs, at 10-3, have put the pedal to the metal.

Willie Holland, who leads the IL in extra base hits with 9, helped out the Lehigh Valley cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the left fielder was 2-3 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Luis was locating, throwing all of his pitches," said Lehigh Valley manager Mel Pritchard. "He did a heck of a job."
