Buffalo registered a win at Harbor Park by beating the Norfolk Tides, 6-4. Pitcher Shelby Miller was one reason why the Bisons triumphed. Jose Nova earned the save for Buffalo. The Tides, now 5-9, continue their sluggish start.

In the top of the third, Buffalo designated hitter Lance Jeffries had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out, Jeffries stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Buffalo. For the game, he was 1-5, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
