The El Paso Chihuahuas knocked off the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 8-2, in Pacific Conference action at . El Paso pitcher and Jacksonville, Florida, native Walker Lockett had an outstanding performance. The winner was Lockett. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Alex Durham. The first-place Chihuahuas, at 75-43, lead the Pacific Conference North Division by 19 games.

Steve Eggert had a big 2-run double for the Chihuahuas in the bottom of the fourth inning. With El Paso leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Alex Durham, who is tied for 5th in the AC in innings pitched with 134.0, and swatted a double to right. It was his 33rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chihuahuas ahead, 6-2.
