El Paso Chihuahuas starter Tomás López turned in an exceptional performance against the Salt Lake Bees at Smith's Ballpark, resulting in a El Paso win, 8-1. El Paso has now won 6 straight.

López, the winner, is now 2-1. In 8.2 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 5 hits, while collecting 8 Ks. He essentially shut down the Salt Lake offense.

"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said López.
