Led by Joe McDonald, the Salt Lake Bees defeated the Reno Aces, 18-11. McDonald was 3-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for the Bees. The Bees now have a record of 75-57 with the win over Reno.

Salt Lake catcher Ken Hilton contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Bees ahead, 12-9.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Hilton told the Salt Lake Daily.
