Bees Pull Out Late Win, 4-3
|
The Fresno Grizzlies could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Geoff Johnson into a win. Instead, the Salt Lake Bees prevailed, 4-3, in 10 innings. Johnson threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The win elevated the Bees to 81-61.
The Bees got a clutch hit from right fielder Darryl Wright. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Bees.
"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Wright said in his postgame press conference.
