Flying Squirrels Earn 2-1 Win Versus Fisher Cats
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Richmond Flying Squirrels and New Hampshire Fisher Cats were able to complete their ballgame.
In a low-scoring contest between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 26-year old right-handed pitcher Edgardo Roa proved to be the difference. The Richmond right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Flying Squirrels win. The loss makes New Hampshire 32-24.
Wes García had a direct impact on the outcome. García contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Richmond up, 2-1.
"We found a way to get it done," García said.
