The Pawtucket Red Sox defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 4-3, in part because of second baseman Raúl Diharce. Diharce went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Red Sox. Jon Bascombe claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 4-3. Dellin Betances recorded his 4th save for Pawtucket.

Ed Dennis went 1 for 2 with a hit by pitch for Pawtucket. The 29-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Curt Boyd. It was his 7th RBI of the season.

"Nice win for us," said Diharce. "Now we'll go after the next one."
