Toledo turned a good effort from starter Jon Dwight into a win over the Charlotte Knights at Fifth Third Field. The Mud Hens won the game, 6-0. The Mud Hens keep rolling, raising their record to 14-6.

Chet Thompson had a big 2-run home run for the Mud Hens in the bottom of the first inning. With Toledo leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Jim Miller and swatted a home run to right. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mud Hens ahead, 4-0.

"Our offense was purring," said Toledo manager Yusmeiro Petit. "Like a well-oiled machine."
