Red Sox Earn 5-2 Home Win
|
Daniel Ramos impressed in the 5-2 Pawtucket win over Indianapolis. Ramos went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Chase De Jong, who threw 88 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits. Jeff Hornsby, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
Pawtucket grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Ramos hit a bases-clearing double off Tad Miller. His 21st double of the season put the Red Sox out in front, 4-1.
"We did enough to win," said Ramos.
Pawtucket has now won 4 games in a row.
