The Syracuse Chiefs picked up a win at Coca-Cola Field, taking down the Buffalo Bisons, 5-1. Starting pitcher Norberto Martínez was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Martínez surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Chiefs upped their record to 66-65.

It could have been a different outcome for Syracuse, had it not been for José Macías, the 24-year old first baseman . Macías contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Syracuse up, 1-0.
