Syracuse Chiefs starter Tim Kinzer found his groove in his team's 2-0 win over the Scranton WB RailRiders. Aurelio Flores nailed down the save. Syracuse, at 59-72, sits in 4th place in the North Division.

The Chiefs got a big at-bat from third baseman Michael De Leon. For the game, De Leon went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 22nd double of the season gave Syracuse a 2-0 lead.
