Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Norfolk Tides as starter Chris Fletcher shut them out, 3-0, at Harbor Park. The Charlotte pitcher struck out 7 and walked 2 while allowing 4 hits.

"Fletcher was good but he wasn't flawless," Norfolk manager Charlie Poe said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Charlotte, but this is on us."
