Cross Delivers Walk-Off Win for Knights
The outcome was not decided until the very end at BB&T Stadium.

The Charlotte Knights knocked off the Gwinnett Hammers, 4-2, in International League action at BB&T Stadium. Charlotte pitcher and Ewa Beach, Hawaii, native Ron Stewart had an outstanding performance. Charlotte reliever Monte Young picked up the win to move to 9-7. Nick Kingham suffered the loss.

Charlotte got a knockout punch from Ben Cross. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We have a lot of confidence in Ron," said Charlotte manager Jason Boyd.

Charlotte goes to 69-67, Gwinnett to 63-73.
