Altoona and Portland took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Behind the hitting of Bob Bishop, the Altoona Curve defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-5. Bishop was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Curve. Altoona pitcher Ty Stoner got the win. He's now 2-0. Stu Robinson was tagged with the loss. Stan Martínez locked down his 13th save.

Jesús Gutiérrez helped out the Altoona cause in the top of the seventh inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Altoona manager David Ortiz.
