Trenton Thunder starter Edwar A. Ramirez pitched a strong game against the Akron RubberDucks at Arm & Hammer Park, leading the Thunder to victory, 8-7. Reliever Ed Raines picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Chad Cochrane took the loss. The victory gives the Thunder a record of 34-28.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tony Tobías in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Cochrane to win the game for Trenton. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place went bananas," Ramirez said.
