In a low-scoring contest, Erie pitcher Josh Hamilton was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. César Rodríguez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Bob Gordon suffered the loss. Erie has an impressive 44-19 record.

The SeaWolves got a clutch hit from catcher Matt Scioscia. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the SeaWolves.

"Josh gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Erie skipper Brad Ausmus.
