Shiplack Socks 2 Home Runs in 6-3 Altoona Win
Behind the bravura of second baseman Emmitt Shiplack, the Altoona Curve topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels by the score of 6-3. Shiplack was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Curve. The Curve, at 28-40, inhabit 4th place in the Southern Division.

Altoona used the timely hitting of Luis Bermúdez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Curve on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Bermúdez.
