Rock Cats Improve to 47-25 with 3-0 Win
The New Britain Rock Cats got a magnificent performance from pitcher David García, who muffled the Akron offense en route to a tight, 3-0 Rock Cats win at New Britain Stadium. Jim Frazier collected his 2nd save. The Rock Cats own a robust 47-25 mark.

Mario Díaz had a big run-scoring triple for the Rock Cats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New Britain leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Acosta and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rock Cats ahead, 2-0.

"David pitched his heart out," said New Britain manager Gary Kendall.
