The Trenton Thunder could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jorge López into a win. Instead, the Bowie Baysox prevailed, 3-2. López threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Mario Gonzáles picked up the win in relief. Mac Ward took the loss for Trenton. After today's action, Bowie sits at 34-40, while Trenton falls to 43-32.

The decisive blow was delivered by Juan Madrid in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Mac Ward to win the game for Bowie. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Madrid said.
