Red-Hot Stewart Cools Off Norfolk
Ron Stewart kept the Norfolk Tides hitters from doing much damage at BB&T Stadium.

Norfolk could only muster 4 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Stewart, who controlled them throughout the game. Charlotte won the contest, 1-0. Stewart added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Stewart told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."

On the year, Stewart has worked 43.1 innings with 35 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and 3.95 ERA.
