Mets Take Tight Tangle
The Binghamton Mets and Reading Fightin Phils played an entertaining game for NYSEG Stadium patrons.

The Binghamton Mets defeated the Reading Fightin Phils, 5-4, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton pitcher Monte Craig had a standout performance. Binghamton is now 38-43, while Reading is 34-47.

Dave Anderson was the walk-off hero for Binghamton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mets catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," Craig said.
