Spike Cummings never let the Fightin Phils get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Curve to a win, 6-0. In 6 innings, Cummings surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Danny O'Heir earned the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.

The Curve picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Shaun Larkin.
