The Portland Sea Dogs downed the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 6-4, at Hadlock Field. The Sea Dogs were led by José Puente. Puente went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Portland win streak is now 3 games.

Puente had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Manny Pérez, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Sea Dogs a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Puente.
