Trenton Sends Portland Packing with 6-4 Loss
Portland first baseman Iván Rosário had a good game, even if his team did not. The Sea Dogs dropped a 6-4 decision to Trenton at Hadlock Field. Rosário went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mac Ward earned the save, his 8th, for the Thunder. The win for the Thunder lifted their record to 53-44.

Trenton used a clutch at-bat from Steve Baker to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Thunder ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Baker.
