The New Britain Rock Cats dumped the Binghamton Mets, 6-4, in large part due to first baseman Mike Bane. On the day, Bane was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rock Cats. Brad Dyer, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. New Britain improves to 68-39 with the win.
