Baysox Win, Downing Fisher Cats, 3-0

Bowie and New Hampshire duked it out and the Baysox came out victorious.
Starting pitcher Jesús García fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Bowie Baysox stymie the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 3-0. García got the win, improving to 5-8. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Tony Martínez sewed up the save, his 11th.
The Fisher Cats had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Baysox going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old center fielder Kip Larsen came to the plate. Larsen hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from New Hampshire hurler Chris Bryant. It was Larsen's 12th home run of the year.
"Jesús had it going," said Bowie manager Jack McDowell.
The Baysox go to 42-66 with the win.
