The Akron RubberDucks took Elvis Casey's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Prince George's Stadium. The final score had Akron getting past the Baysox, 6-2, in 11 innings. Casey over 7 innings allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 8. Akron is now 48-67.

Akron used a timely hit from Cliff Martin to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the RubberDucks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Martin. "But we got it done."
