Mets Lose, 7-6, at People's Natural Gas Field
The Altoona Curve overcame a pretty good performance by Binghamton catcher Alex Boyd, beating the Mets, 7-6, at People's Natural Gas Field. Boyd went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. José Romo got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Mets to 4 runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4. Dan Conner, credited with the save, is now 5 for 5 in save opportunities.

With no one out in the bottom of the fifth, José Hernández put Altoona in front, 5-3, with a 2-run single. The Curve went on to win the ballgame.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Hernández told the Altoona Chronicle.

The Curve improved their record to 52-66 by beating Binghamton.
