Rock Cats Roll to 8-0 Win Over Baysox
Bowie had no answer for New Britain Rock Cats hurler Chris Lair, who overwhelmed Baysox hitters as the Rock Cats coasted to victory, 8-0. The Rock Cats now have a record of 66-54 with the win over Bowie.

The Baysox had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Rock Cats going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the slick-fielding third baseman Dave Harrison came to the plate. Harrison hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 cutter from Bowie hurler Darío Vargas. It was Harrison's 23rd double of the year.

"Chris made some big pitches when he needed to," said Rock Cats manager Gary Kendall.
