Curve Rally Late to Nip Rock Cats
The New Britain Rock Cats got a superb performance from pitcher Milo Sykes, but the Altoona Curve still won the game, 3-2. Sykes threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Dan Conner converted his 6th save in 6 tries. The Curve improved their record to 54-67 with the win over New Britain.

Had Tony Peña not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Peña hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Curve.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said New Britain manager Gary Kendall.
