Fightin Phils Beat the Pants Off Rock Cats, 17-1
The Reading Fightin Phils got production up and down the lineup while beating the New Britain Rock Cats, 17-1. One standout was first baseman Edwin Little. Little, who is tied for 8th in the EL in home runs with 11, was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 3 walks, while scoring 5 times and driving in 2. Reading is now 52-72, New Britain 68-56.

Jorge Acevedo had a big 2-run double for the Fightin Phils in the bottom of the first inning. With Reading leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Zander Hughes and swatted a double to center. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fightin Phils ahead, 4-0.

"That was brutal," said losing manager Gary Kendall. "The sooner we can turn the page, the better."
