Binghamton first baseman Jerry Cook contributed significantly to his team's 4-2 win over the Portland Sea Dogs. Cook went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mets. Luis Lucero earned his 9th save in 10 chances. With the win, Binghamton has a record of 63-65. Portland falls to 64-64.

Cook had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 sinker from Mac Ward, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Mets a 4-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Cook.
