Due in large part to first baseman Amilcar Uribe, the Erie SeaWolves sunk the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 5-3. Uribe was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Erie is now 81-53, 4 games up in the Southern Division.
Tim Scott helped out the Erie cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Richmond manager Mike Sarbaugh.
