Westerhout Slugs Red Wings to 7-2 Win
The Rochester Red Wings stopped the Buffalo Bisons, 7-2, at Frontier Field. The Red Wings got a big game from Carol Westerhout, who was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Pete Lambert got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The Red Wings sport a record of 12-19.

With Rochester trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Westerhout hit a changeup from Pat Todd for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Red Wings ahead, 4-2.
