Lookouts Get Clutch Win Versus Jackson
|
Jackson got a terrific performance from pitcher Rayan Hamon, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chattanooga Lookouts. Chattanooga won the AT&T Field contest, 3-2. Hamon threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win gives Chattanooga a record of 3-1.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Chattanooga left fielder Claude Johnson, facing Hugh Herring, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Lookouts the 3-2 win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Johnson said.
