Voyagers, Nájera Pin Bad Loss on Osprey
The Great Falls Voyagers beat the Missoula Osprey by a score of 10-2. Great Falls shortstop Manny Nájera deserved the lion's share of the credit. Nájera was 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Voyagers. David Velásquez was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. Dan Barnaby earned the save, his 1st.

Bob Bullard had a big solo home run for the Voyagers in the top of the third inning. With Great Falls leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Wallace and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Voyagers on top, 2-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Voyagers manager Morgan Ensberg.

The loss drops Missoula to 1-7.
