The Grand Junction Rockies rode a solid performance from 17-year-old starting pitcher Juan García to a win, beating the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-2, at Suplizio Field. Manny Medrano picked up the save for Grand Junction, his 2nd of the year. The Chukars drop to 6-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.

The Rockies got a big at-bat from left fielder Chris Boyle. For the game, Boyle went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Grand Junction a 2-0 lead.

"Juan was throwing free and easy," said Grand Junction manager Vidal Nuno.
