Voyagers Drop Brewers, 4-1, with Late Score
|
The Helena Brewers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Art Horton into a win. Instead, the Great Falls Voyagers prevailed, 4-1. Horton threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The save was credited to Luis Silva, his 2nd. Great Falls, now 9-5, has played well in the early going.
Greg Haslewood came through with a big-time hit for Great Falls. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Haslewood attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
