The Durham Bulls withstood a good performance by Louisville left fielder Greg Lefebvre to knock off Louisville, 6-5, in 10 innings. Lefebvre went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Durham reliever Brit Johnson picked up the win, raising his record to 4-0. Carlos Contreras was tagged with the loss. Durham is now 21-13. Louisville is 13-21.

Tommy Miller came through with a big-time hit for Durham. The shortstop smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Miller, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
