The performance of Marc Chabert proved critical in helping ACL beat ACL, 10-3. The Diamondbacks second baseman went 1-2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. ACL reliever Héctor Miranda was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Bob Collins took the loss. ACL has now won 3 in a row.

With ACL leading 6-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Chabert came up to bat against ACL pitcher Mario Barbosa. Chabert hit a curveball to left for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Diamondbacks on top, 10-1.
