Mariners Victorious at ACL, 6-3
|
ACL and ACL duked it out and the Mariners came out victorious.
The ACL Rockies got a superb performance from pitcher Mitch Powell, but the ACL Mariners still won the game, 6-3. Powell threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Gilberto Rodríguez earned save number 9 this season.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Dan Jones had a game-changing hit. The Mariners designated hitter slammed a run-scoring single off Manny Medrano, making the score 5-3, ACL.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Jones.
The Mariners sit in second place in the West Division with a record of 15-11.
