Diamondbacks Suffer 8-5 Home Defeat
At Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, the ACL Diamondbacks and ACL Mariners were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The ACL Mariners defeated the ACL Diamondbacks, 8-5. Doing his part was third baseman Jermão Quintos, who was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Curt Ferguson, who threw 106 pitches over 6 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 9 hits.

ACL won the game in part because of Dewitt Caraballo. The center fielder ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 7-1. For the game, Caraballo had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
