The ACL Giants have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading ACL Athletics, winning, 14-4, at Scottsdale Stadium. Giants right fielder Robby Jones went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Giants to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Catcher Edgar Hernández made an impact for ACL, when he swatted a 2-run double off Johnathan Lamere in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Hernández went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
